Mr Saturday and I are lifelong fans of Judge Dredd. We have been collecting and painting toy soldiers for approximately the same duration. So why is it that neither of us have very many painted Dredd related miniatures?
Because we lack discipline, thats why.

I opened up the Warlord Games newsletter last Friday and saw my own miniatures looking back.
This was a surprise to me. By and large Warlord covers gaming eras and genres beyond my personal gaming remit, so I tend to skim the newsletter rather than pore over it. But recently Warlord took over production of Mongooses Judge Dredd range and with pre-orders of the new rulebook going up they decided to put some photos of my figures from their forum up as a promo.
I got a kick out of it 🙂

Mongoose Publishing have moved the production of their Judge Dredd range to Warlord Games. I just joined their forum and wanted to put up some photos of my Judges which come form a few different manufacturers, but they only want photos of Warlord/Mongoose models, which is fair enough.
So I took a couple of photos of the Mongoose Justice Department figures that I have painted and am putting them up here, again. I did actually modify the basing slightly since the last time, but to all intents and purposes this is a repost.

I made the 1000km+ road trip from West Cork to Belfast and back again last weekend. The main motivation was to play DreadBall, but it also gave me an excuse to visit Belfast, a city that I had never been to before. Continue reading

Judge Fire
Like Judges Death, Fear and Mortis, Judge Fire is a supernatural Dark Judge. Where Mortis shtick is a familiar-for-the-trope, accelerated necrosis thing, Fear can scare people to death and Judge Death is just plain old badass, Judge Fires raison d’etre is the barbecue of every living thing in creation.
