I have been enjoying playing Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower for the last few months, but I have usually been using painted proxy figures from my own collection to play.

As the game is a lot of fun and the miniatures in the box are so very nice, I have decided to paint the set over the next… undefined period of time.  I have already made a good start on it and I am hoping to have the full set as supplied in the box fully finished reasonably soon.

The Additional Adversaries list shouldnt be too difficult to fill out as time passes. Including them adds some extra options to every game played, so I will aim to get them done soon after the core contents I think.

The Additional Heroes list on the other hand may never be completed: there are a lot of those guys, about forty at last count.  It does give me a fun list to look at any time that I feel a desire to paint a heroic fantasy individual though, as it might as well be something from that selection.

I have a slightly unexpected urge to partly populate the Additional Adversaries list with old figures from the HeroQuest and Warhammer Quest boxed games from the 1990s.  Something about those chunky single piece plastics with large faces is drawing me in a bit at the moment – as can be seen here with a Grombrindal/White Dwarf that I painted for a group project on Scale Creep recently, with Silver Tower in mind..
