“Workshop Parking Only”. That means FLYING SLEIGHS PULLED BY MAGICAL REINDEER ONLY and don’t you forget it.
Like Fan Favourite Cone from last week, the barrier is oversized in comparison with most Hot Wheels, certainly compared with the Hot Wheels used in most Gaslands games.
But what the hey: even in the context of the world where the drivers of these vehicles go about their daily business, the barrier is intended to be a novelty Xmas village sort of item, so a little scale discrepancy means nothing. How big are barriers blocking flying magic, animal drawn traffic supposed to be?
The barrier got the same treatment that all of the calendar elements assigned terrain duty got: a quick bit of basing and weathering.

What a quick and easy terrain piece! The cork base is perfect.

Thanks Allison 🙂
I don’t know exactly when or where the cork basing process idea came from, but I have been using it for terrain like that for about a decade now. I enjoy the process and appreciate the functionality of the approach. So expect to see plenty more of it around here 🙂

Is “WORKSHOP PARKING ONLY” something that was painted onto it by Hot Wheels, or an embellishment of your own?
Is the scale off in a way that it would be compatible with your 28mm Space Santa? That would be a fun crossover.

The print was on the sign as supplied. I essentially just weathered it and based it.
Good idea about a Santa tie-in though 🤔
