Although I dont play Warhammer 40,000 any more I do still enjoy the setting and many of the miniatures.
To me nothing says “futuristic dark age dystopia” as much as a bunch of cyborg priests reciting canticles over their weapons and communing with the spirits of their vehicles.
Therefore last year I decided that I would put together a small force of Adeptus Mechanicus for gaming with. I started work on the project last Xmas. Continue reading →

This is what I am working on right now. Fiddly miniatures with lots if detail. Hopefully they will be worth it.
(I am experimenting with short posts of WIPs like this via my phone, almost like tweeting but less frequent and hopefully a lot less dull. If they work out then great. If not then be sure to let me know.)

Judge Fire
Like Judges Death, Fear and Mortis, Judge Fire is a supernatural Dark Judge. Where Mortis shtick is a familiar-for-the-trope, accelerated necrosis thing, Fear can scare people to death and Judge Death is just plain old badass, Judge Fires raison d’etre is the barbecue of every living thing in creation. Judge Mortis
The Dark Judges are foes of Judge Dredd that hail from “Deadworld”, an Earth like planet located in another dimension. Like Dredd they are law enforcers but the Dark Judges laws are even more draconian than Mega City Ones famously strict codes: the Dark Judges eradicate all life in order to eradicate all crime. This is the entirety of my painted Mega City Justice Dept figures right now.
I like how they look so far. I have a number of other Judge figures in various states of progress, but I probably wont get around to finishing them for a while yet (hobby progress is slow at the moment). So this is the total as it stands right now.
