128 129 “items” isnt too bad. About one model every three days sounds alright considering I have to go to work and do all those other dull grown up things. I came off the boil a bit in the second half of the year, largely for a few personal reasons. I need to watch it though, Im slipping. I would like this total to be a figure that remains the low point over coming years. I am hopeful that I can top two hundred this year if I keep my head screwed on a little better. Watch this space.
I have recently been working on a large number of items that are currently in varying stages of completion. I hope to finish a few more of those off early this year, hopefully to kick-start output again.
Thanks to all of the regular commentators and contributors. An individual shout out goes to Mr Saturday with whom I have shared the Judgement Day project with in 2015: long may it continue.
For the sake of comparison, here are the links to previous years tallies and photos:
2014 = 144 finished items
2013 = 192 finished items
2012 = 159 finished items
2011 = 145 finished items

That’s a solid haul there. A year’s good, consistent work. It’s been fun watching these projects evolve and when you put them all together it’s pretty darned impressive. 🙂

Thanks David. One some level I imagine everything shown to exist somewhere in the same universe. Its a world building exercise in many ways, even if the various subjects do seem disparate.
Thanks for the feedback!

A very eclectic and inspiring selection for the year Cheetor. I like the genres you’re pushing, and the vehicles and terrain are great additions to the collection – I really need more of my own.
Looking forward to seeing your output for 2016.

The vehicles and terrain are particularly pleasing to me too. The miniatures alone really are not enough for me any more. Some time spent on the environments that they inhabit pays off in photos and general atmosphere.
Terrain is the first job for 2016 I reckon.

Im glad that you enjoyed it Panama, thanks. It certainly wasnt a bad year, just a bit less productive than I had hoped. I am hopeful that I can bring the total up a bit again in 2016.

Awesome stuff Cheetor, so many wonderful things… stand-out pieces for me are the Administratum, construction crew, and (my tip-top favourite) Mork 5 & crew. Love your work dude, roll on 2016.

Im not sure what my favourites are actually Alex. The ones that you mention certainly feature highly, but there are a couple of others that particularly appeal to me too. I would like to expand on all of the groups that you mention too, I have models lined up and everything. Some day 🙂
Thank you for your ongoing, encouraging feedback Alex!

Not many people manage to combine quantity and quality and even fewer manage to add humour and excellence to the mix, you’re one of those and I feel genuinely glad to make a little part of teh journey along folks like you.

Very kind of you to say Asslessman, thank you.
Without wanting to sound too trite, the same applies in reverse too: time is short, but the next best thing to getting some of these projects done for myself is to see enthusiasts like you tackle them alongside.
2016 is going to be good I think 🙂

Thanks Colin. Its worth putting everything into a post like this I think. I find having a comprehensive visual record of previous years in one place encouraging.

Great stuff mate. Impressive turn over too. Your painting is flawless. Some quirky and interesting models. I like those realmgates. Very cool.

Thanks imperialrebork! The Realmgates were a lot of fun to paint actually, enjoyable because they are a little bit different.
I find that varying what I am painting keeps me far more interested and motivated than if I were to paint very many of the same or similar miniatures, so thats what I do.
Thanks for the feedback!

Even if this is a (for you) relatively low number of items completed, your output in terms of quality and quantity is still very high. I always love to see a notification of another post on your excellent blog.

Thanks very nice of you to say Argentbadger, thank you 🙂
I suppose that I see the 150 mark as something that I can manage without having to go too nuts, so it irritates me not to have reached it. I have good reasons for not reaching that number too really, but regardless, its not a bad total. I am happy with most of the models too, even if a couple didnt work out as well as I had hoped.
Lots more to come in 2016 I hope 🙂

So am I actually, once I settle down and narrow down the options for the next big push 🙂 Some of the models that I traded with you a while back look likely to hit the table actually.
Thanks for the kind feedback Barks, happy new year!

“128 “items” isnt too bad” is a huge understatement. Such a quantity combined with your quality of painting is something I dream of achieving. Great job!

Thank you Mikko. Its more that I know where the output slumped this year and it grates slightly. That said, 100+ painted miniatures a year from here to the grave would be ok. 200 would be better though 🙂
Happy New Year!

Its not too shabby, but I feel that I could be getting more efficient. At least I have solid data for the last few years now.
