Gaslands Slay Ride Advent(ure) #13: Tyres

Piles of tyres.

Alight or simply at rest, isthere anything more representative of the shocking mess that we as a species have turned the planet into?

The answer to that question is, obviously, “yes”, so I don’t want to talk about it, but here are some tiny, cheerful, Xmas-y, post-apocalyptic tyres prepped for vroom-vroom games that I play to distract myself from the horror.

BUBUBUBUBUBUBAAAD TO THE BONE.

Somewhat ill defined tyres. I can work with that.

Like the other terrain pieces in this project, the tyres got a rapid basing and weathering before being consigned to a lifetime of being imaginarily crashed into by the maggot-like people eking out a horrendous existence on the corpse of the dead world that exists in the stories in my head… soon coming to real life near you.

    I’m not sure which amazes me most – your amazing post per day output (unless you opened the calendar around October and timed all these posts), the wonderful work you’re doing with a…mixed collection of pieces or simply this great concept for a series of posts. Loving it!

      There is some scheduling going on, in that I am usually a few days ahead of the calendar. I currently work away from home and have numerous travel and other commitments, so there are some days where I have zero chance of even touching a paintbrush, never mind a fully blogged hobby project.

      But I have certainly not had the box open since October. But even if I had done that, would it really matter? I don’t think so. It would still be a fun concept, executed in ways that I think are at least entertaining (bleak outlook in this post being maybe a lean away from that to an extent…).

      It took next to no time to do that Suber.

      Like the cars themselves, it takes longer to prep the items for painting, than it does to paint them.

      And at least piles of tyres are pretty Gaslands-y 🙂

      I could have spent a little more time making it look a little more… is realistic an appropriate word here… but figured that it would be just fine as is. Finished is better than perfect.
